Welcome to our newest team members!

The best part about working at OofSI is the wonderful team we have developed. This summer, three new staff members joined the Design Initiatives team: Claire Gilbert as Multimedia Specialist, and Christina Ngo and Lisa Wyatt, both as Design Strategists. I am thrilled to have them on board!

Claire comes to us from upstate New York, but spent many years living abroad in Europe, where she began developing her skills in video and audio production and journalism. She will be working on documenting and telling stories about the work going on in OofSI, the Character Education initiative, and other parts of MLFTC.

Christina started her career as a middle school science teacher through Teach For America in the Phoenix area, and then worked for Entrepreneurship + Innovation at ASU, managing a large grant program working with teachers across the country on design thinking. She has a rich background in facilitating learning experiences around design for educators.

Lisa joins us from a long career as a teacher, in Los Angeles, the Philippines and the Phoenix area. She has diverse experience spanning elementary school, high school and community college, and most recently worked at a Montessori school. We are excited to tap into her deep pedagogical and curricular expertise in our work with school partners, teacher candidates and others.

The benefits of having these three new members on our team are already very clear, and I look forward to introducing them to our ASU colleagues and community partners!
