Arizona Minority Education Policy Analysis Center LFC

Future focused question

How can and should we document the educational progress of minoritized students in Arizona after the pandemic?

Project highlight

AMEPAC LFC has provided feedback on an initial set of analyses aimed at updating two sections of the Arizona Minority Education Progress Report. The LFC is also working on analyses drawing from the Arizona Youth Survey that will allow the LFC to compare youth’s school experiences before and after COVID.

Description

The Arizona Minority Education Policy Analysis Center LFC is a revitalization of the former research arm of Arizona’s Postsecondary Education Commission.

The AMEPAC LFC builds off a legacy that includes evidence-based reporting into the rate of high school dropouts and combined data analyses and convenings of stakeholders aimed at generating solutions to better reflect Arizona’s demographics in the areas of PK12 education, and post secondary attainment.

Guided by ASU’s design aspirations and rooted in community-engaged, use-inspired research, the renewed AMEPAC LFC plans to broaden stakeholder involvement and increase public accessibility through interactive dashboards and diverse reporting formats, continuing its mission to inform policy and reframe deficit narratives across the PK–16 pipeline.
