I am excited to share the newest story map, iTeachELLs – The How, as another example of the amazing work that Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College is doing to take action to improve education. This story map takes you through the journey of the iTeachELLs team as they worked to “bridge the experiences of researchers and practitioners to address the challenge of preparing educators to teach culturally and linguistically diverse learners.”
Melanie Baca, the business analyst for the iTeachELLs project with whom I collaborated on the creation of the story map, considers story maps to be “powerful evaluation tools that provide compelling visual representations of data and experiences, research sharing and ongoing opportunities for reflection by the program innovators.” She finds that story maps help to “celebrate defining mileposts of program implementation.”
